KiD CuDi Listening Party
Apparently CuDi didn't even show up, Jay and Kanye were certainly not there. The one gold nugget to take away from it was from Slyvia Rhone, Universal Motown President, comparing CuDi to thee Jimmy Hendrix. In that case, hopefully CuDi passes out in his own puke too.

Timbaland Shock Value 2 Info
Some Stan blogged about hanging out with Timbaland this last night. I wasn't aware that Timbo was working on another cd, but he has been pretty quiet lately. Stan mentioned that the 6 songs he heard we're better than the stuff on BP3, Timbo responded, "Of course I'm not going to give Jay my best material". That's an understatement. Anyways, here's a list of potential contributors to the album:

I'm going to have to respectfully agree. With two years since his last album, my personal favorite of his, he's traveling down 50 Cent "comfortable" status (took a lot for me to say that, see I'm not that ignant). Except for D.O.A., these songs have not shown his lyrical ability whatsoever, not to mention the poppy feel they have had. In saying that, there are still 7 Kanye produced songs that we all have not heard yet, and we know Kanye brings the best out of Jay. I'll still support regardless, but I'm hoping we haven't heard the best.

MGMT Thank Fans For Not Seeing Oasis At V Festival Stafford Show
They played an ecstatically received headline set at V Festival Stafford tonight (August 22), showcasing a number of unreleased songs and paying tribute to V Stage headliners Oasis during it.
Despite going head to head with Oasis, the New York band drew an impressive crowd to The Arena, packing the tent out with ease. Singer Andrew VanWyngarden made reference to the Gallagher brothers before playing 'Of Moons, Birds & Monsters', saying:
"We're not saying this in a bad way, but thanks for not seeing Oasis!"
The band had the crowd in raptures even before they'd plugged their instruments in, as they came onstage to the music from ’The Pink Panther’, which much of the audience sang along to.
VanWyngarden, wearing shorts and a blue jacket, launched straight into MGMT fan favourite ‘Piece Of What’, orchestrating a huge singalong from the audience as he did so. The band followed that with 'Electric Feel', which had the packed tent waving their hands in the air. After taking a sip of sparkling water, the singer lead the band into 'Destrikk', which was followed by new track ‘It’s Working’.
Later in their set, a frenzied version of 'Time To Pretend' saw the stage lights turned on the audience, showing a sea of glowsticks and fans singing along. MGMT followed the song by playing another new track, 'Song For Dan Treacy'.
‘Kids’, which was played during the encore, saw VanWyngarden and bandmate Ben Goldwasser both downing their instruments to concentrate on singing, with VanWyngarden at one point catching a paper cup that was thrown on the stage (in good nature). Seconds later, the singer picked up a pair of stray sunglasses that had also been thrown on stage and put them on.
He ended the track by singing a clip of Oasis' 'Wonderwall', though the crowd drowned him out by singing the keyboard refrain to 'Kids' louder.
The band ended their set with another new song, the slow-paced 'Congratulations'.

Hendrix Biopic in the Works
The Guardian UK is reporting that Jimi Hendrix is set to become the latest in a string of musicians to have a biopic made about their lives – if his estate will only agree to it.
Previous attempts to make a film about the life of the legendary guitarist have failed to meet with the approval of Hendrix's estate. In 2006, the high court prevented director John Hillman and Dragonslayer Films from making their proposed Hendrix biopic, ruling that the company had no rights to Hendrix's music or likeness, while Hendrix's estate, run by his stepsister Janie Hendrix, also refused to license music to a proposed film starring Outkast's Andre 3000.
But Variety reports that Legendary Pictures is planning a feature film about the life of the man named the greatest guitarist in rock history by Rolling Stone. Legendary will develop the project first and then win approval from the estate, it says – discussions so far have been "loose", with no firm rights deal put in place.
If it does make it to the cinemas, the Hendrix biopic would track the guitarist's life from his stint in the US army through his journey to musical superstardom at Woodstock to his death in London in 1970. Legendary has made no comment on possible casting.

Using models developed to calculate the effects of more plausible pandemics, the team from the University of Ottawa have discovered that unless man struck back quickly and aggressively then they would be doomed.
The scientific paper, which is published in a book “Infectious Diseases Modelling Research Progress”, looks at an attack by the undead creatures, who infect the living with a bite.
In their study, titled When Zombies Attack!, the researchers picked “classic” slow-moving zombies such as those in Dawn of the Dead as models and divided humanity into three: the living, zombies and the “removed” – zombies who had been killed by decapitation.
They concluded there was no point trying to cure those infected or live with them - the best thing was to destroy them as quickly as possible.
Well of course they would, humans now adays would be too busy protesting the inhumane treatment of Zombies and accusing America of killing "civilian women and children zombies" in air strikes.
We'd implement new tactics designed to "win zombie hearts and minds" and get our ass handed to us.
